I started out with a 1938 RCA Tube type receiver. It was love at first site. Some people swear by tube-type receivers and still use them today. What kind of tube-type receiver do you use?

Have a dead radio and do not think it is worth keeping? Do not throw it in the land-fill! Consider sending it to the DXer.ca tech crew for a free repair, return and possible give-away.

Gadgets and beyond

What enhances your radio hobby experience? Perhaps you use a paper-log book of your own design or use a PC/Mac based software solution. Maybe you record your reception for posterity - how do you do it?
I have been recording radio reception since 1972 (sadly, my cassette collection only goes back to 1975) - I still use cassette from time to time, but I also use Sony MiniDisc - there are other mediums... so discuss yours.
